Family Guy x Kidrobot Mini Series

Seth MacFarlane teams up with Kidrobot on a Family Guy mini series. Seth follows in the path of fellow animator Matt Groening who previously teamed up with Kidrobot on a mini series for both The Simpsons and Futurama. The Family Guy x Kidrobot Mini Series includes 3-inch vinyl figures of all your favorite characters, including Peter, Lois, Stewie, Brian, Meg, Chris, Cleveland, Quagmire, Joe, The Evil Monkey, Death, the peg-leg pirate and the perverted old man. There’s two mystery characters as well, to make up for a total of 15 characters in all. The blind box series is slated to release through select Kidrobot retailers and through the Kidrobot webstore on February 17th, 2011.

Produced in an exciting collaboration between Medicom Toy and John Kricfalusi, the animator who created these two famous characters, Ren & Stimpy are brought to life and ready to grace your shelves in the form of 400% Bearbricks. From our understanding the Ren & Stimpy Bearbricks aren’t set to officially release in the US until around September, however, Jeff Staple was able to import a few from Japan and stock them in his Reed Space boutique. No telling how long they’ll last, so if you’re interested in scooping one up before their official launch on US shores, hit up Reed Space now.
Kidrobot x Tim Tsui “Da Space Warrior Dunny”

Kidrobot teams up with urban vinyl toy pioneer Tim Tsui to launch Tim’s signature primate character into orbit in the form of a brand new Dunny. Known as Da Space Warrior and standing at 8″ tall, this Kidrobot Dunny brings Tim Tsui’s character to life as a planetary warrior in a detailed space suit with a shimmering gemstone for his right eye and a tasty bandanna in his hand, just incase he gets hungry on that long trip to space.
Limited to a total of 888 pieces and retailing for a reasonable $75, Da Space Warrior Dunny will take flight on June 3rd, 2010 through Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers.
Cassette Playa x Medicom Toy 100% Bearbrick

English fashion designer Carri Mundane and her Cassette Playa fashion label is one of the latest brands tapped by Medicom Toy to take part in designing one of the company’s signature Bearbrick’s. Using a 100% Bearbrick, Carri had the vinyl figure produced with a translucent purple base featuring an orange cross offset on the front and a Cassette Playa stamp on the heel in Japanese lettering. There’s no word on exactly how many of the Cassette Playa x Medicom Toy 100% Bearbrick’s will be made available, but you’ll have a chance to get your hands on whatever’s out there when they officially release on June 5th, 2010 for around $17.
Star Wars x Mimoco – MIMOBOT USB Flash Drives

Mimoco, the company known for making the MIMOBOT, a designer vinyl toy working as a USB flash drives, continues their collaboration with the Star Wars franchise and has completed Series 5, adding 4 new characters to the ongoing series. The newest MIMOBOT flash drives designed after Star Wars characters include R2-D2, a Stormtrooper, Jawa and Obi-Wan Kenobi. All of the drives are available in 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB memory capacity and come preloaded with digital extras such as wallpaper, screensavers, icons and avatars.
I can’t say I’m the biggest Star Wars fan but these are sorta neat. If you’re interested in getting one visit the Mimoco site.
