Nike Air Max Penny 1 “Phoenix Suns”
June 15, 2010
Back in the mid to late 90′s, Penny Hardaway’s signature sneakers were some of the dopest in the game. From his Air Penny 1, 2 and 3, to the Air Foamposite One, Penny’s line was nothing but eye-candy. After bringing back all but the Air Max Penny I, Nike’s prepared to do so by reissuing the sneakers next year as part of their Spring 2011 Collection. Two colorways are expected to release, the original Orlando Magic version in Black/Varsity Royal-White which you should already be familiar with, and a Phoenix Suns edition which is new to the lineup and shown here in Black/Club Purple.
No confirmed release date is available at this time given the distance between now and then but it’s suspected they’ll become available sometime within the beginning of the year.
Nike Air Force 1 Low “Jones Beach” (Re-Release)
May 28, 2010
Expanding upon the limited release in 2009, Nike will be releasing the Air Force 1 “Jones Beach” within the coming days. Honoring the world famous beach in Long Island, NY, the Jones Beach Air Force 1 features a sandy colored upper with canvas on the toe and mid-section and leather on the heel which is laser etched with a design resembling the years old wooden fences lining the beach. The landmark Jones Beach Tower is seen on the tongue sitting between light blue “Jones Beach” lettering, with the same shade of blue being used for the digits on the heel spine representing the latitude and longitude of Jones Beach. Wrapping up the theme is a translucent light blue outsole displaying a silhouette of Long Island, with the same design on the insoles with the addition of “Strong Island” printed within it.
Watch for them to release at select Nike retailers such as Extra Butter.
Nike Air Max A Lot – Al Horford PE’s
May 27, 2010
Since Al Horford and the Atlanta Hawks were sweeped by the Orlando Magic in the second round of the 2010 NBA Playoffs it’s gonna be awhile before you see dear ol’ Al rocking his new player exclusives of the Air Max A Lot. As a token of their appreciation for being an endorser of the brand and one of the top players on the Hawks squad who helped the team get to the point of even making it to the second round, Nike shipped Al Horford over two versions of the Air Max A Lot in colorways to coincide with the home and away jersey’s of the Atlanta Hawk’s. To make it official Al’s logo was printed onto the heel of both. Maybe you’ll get a chance to see on his feet next season as he helps to try and bring his Atlanta Hawks teammates back to the playoffs.
Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6) Sample
May 22, 2010
Usually Nike Basketball and Kobe Bryant fans are all over Kobe’s latest sneakers, but that’s not the case with what’s expected to be the Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6). Pictures of a few sample versions of Kobe Bryant’s 6th signature sneaker with Nike have been floating around for a couple days now and they’ve been getting slammed by the fans. In a market that strives for the next best thing, the Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6) doesn’t appear to offer anything all to new in it’s design, besides for a new Kobe Bryant “KB” logo on the heel.
It’s been reported by KATC that the images of the Nike Zoom Kobe VI (6) Sample that have been surfacing are just that, nothing more then samples. Having said to have seen and held the final production version, KATC states the retail version differs for the samples, although they do somewhat give us an idea of the direction the Zoom Kobe VI is headed for.
We sure due hope there’s a few changes, cause as it stands right now, judging by the current comments, the consumers would like to see an entirely new design.
Nike Blazer Mid Belt Quickstrike
April 8, 2010
Here’s a little something different for all you Blazer fans out there, the Nike Blazer Mid “Belt” Quickstrike. This solid black Blazer Mid is constructed entirely from waxed leather, with a black vulcanized sole, with the addition of a belt acting as an ankle strap. Back in 2009 we saw this same belt feature worked into a pair of Terminators, and now it’s worked it’s way over to the Blazers, so we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before Nike incorporates the belt ankle strap into yet another model.
No official release details are available for those in the US, but Kasina in Korea has the shoes in stock now.
