Oakley x Original Fake x Lance Armstrong Frogskins
May 24, 2010
Ya gotta love three-ways. Combining their talents, Oakley and Original Fake teamed up with Lance Armstrong to produce an extremely limited run of Frogskins in honor of the sunglasses 4 year anniversary. The shades feature a polished black frame consisting of black iridium lenses. The obvious eye-catcher on the Frogskins, and what’s really gonna make them a collectors item is the repeating, signature X graphics on the inner arms which are the marks of world renowned artist KAWS.
According to reports the sunglasses will become available this coming Saturday, May 29th, 2010, exclusively through the Original Fake store in Japan. So unless you live on the otherside of the globe or have a close contact in Japan, good luck.

Oakley x Stanley Donwood Artist Series Jupiter
December 31, 2009
Oakley has reached out to Stanley Donwood for their latest addition to the Oakley Artist Series. Stanley is a well known contemporary artist from the UK who many may know as the artist who’s been doing the artwork for Radiohead since 1994.
Donwood’s original idea for his Oakley Artist Series glasses was to create peril-sensitive sunglasses, such as those described in the The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. The glasses would instantly turn completely black at the first sign of danger. As you can imagine this isn’t possible, so it was time to put Plan B into play.
Since the initial concept had to be scratched Donwood went with the Oakley Jupiter and an original piece of his own called “London Views” which shows a bird-eyes view of London being destroyed by flood and fire in a during a medieval time period. To go along with the sunglasses a matching box and a micro bag are also included which also feature the artwork of Stanley Donwood.
